Amelia “Pock3t” Bennett is a gifted drummer with twenty years of extraordinary experience, dedication, and skill. From the east side of Detroit, Pock3t fuses old and new contemporary melodies to create a fresh new sound fit for all genres.
Pock3t currently works with her own band, playing and attending local events daily in Detroit and the surrounding cities. She has performed for Dave Brandon, the drummer of the Spinners, and Wendell Lucas of the Dramatics at local venues across the Detroit Metropolitan area.
Gerald F. Kemp Sr.(Kin-Folk Da Bass Playa) Born In Missouri Raised in Detroit. My music career started in the Detroit Public Schools. After High School, I attended Central State University and Texas Southern University where I received my bachelors degree in music. While finishing my music degree, I was the band director at a local middle school in Houston. I also played local venues around Houston Texas. I’ve shared the stage with Jeffery Osborne, and Archie Bell, just to name a few. I also worked with Def Jam South as a street promoter.
In 2009, I started Kin-Folk Recoreds02. The Label was based out of Houston. However, I transferred the label back to Detroit in 2015. Along this musical journey, there have been so many musical influences(The Floaters, The Temptations, James Brown, The whole P-Funk influence, Prince, and a host of others. As a record label owner, I am proud to say that, the genres of Hip Hop, Jazz, Funk, Gospel and Classical have been my influences throughout this musical journey. I have plans to take my musical career to another level and in doing so, I hope to go further in the art. I believe that music has the power to change lives in various ways. So, it’s safe to say that music has been a strong force in everything that I wanted to be. These days, I teach privately and I’m currently the music director and bass player of a local band known as N Da Pock3t. N Da Pock3t released their first cd in August 2022, called N Da Pock3t and Friends. The Cd was released on my label(Kin-Folk Records 02).
Currently the band continues to play local venues and we have done some traveling as well. N Da Pock3t has plans to go back in the studio and start our second project. The band has also opened up for Rakim, Sada Baby, and Bone Thugs and Harmony. The band also plays behind other local artists at various venues around Detroit. This coming summer, the band has plans to do more traveling. In the fall, Kin-Folk Records 02 along with some other artist plan to take a trip to Africa to play a concert and do a backpack giveaway at a few local schools. The name of the giveaway is called GIVING BACK TO EDUCATION. This is the first of many projects that my label will be hosting. This past May on Mother’s Day, I got the opportunity to play Steele Drums for The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan’s birthday celebration. All things that are coming our way is music can be credited to staying steadfast and prayed up. Peace and Blessings. ◦

I started playing guitar at the age of 10. Self-taught, grew up playing at church. Then, at the age of 20 started to play in cover bands around the metro Detroit area, ranging in styles from R&B to country to rock. Influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughan, jimmy hendrix, and Joe Satriani.
I’m currently playing the guitar for the band N Da Pock3t Band. I look forward to playing my guitar and creating music with friends. So we can share the music that we love with as many people as we can.
Detroit-based artist Th3 Blx Gdxx has been commanding the stage since the age of two. With a sound that blends the rich tones of Toni Braxton with the funky, eclectic energy of Parliament-Funkadelic, she delivers an R&B experience that is as healing as it is “sultry and soulful.”
A veteran of the Mosaic Youth Theatre and a multi-instrumentalist, she currently performs as lead vocalist for N Da Pock3t Band & Friends and as one half of the duo Lone Wolf Jupiter. For Th3 Blx Gdxx, music is more than sound—it is the art of transmuting personal experience into a fun, soulful experience that resonates with the heart of every listener.
A lightskin brother born on May 30th 1997 at about 5 PM. Raised in Detroit and smooth walker since he started talking, Marcel Vaughn. The reason why I make music is to connect with the people. Life is harmony and I want to do my part in creating it.
